I've got it rough you guys.
Like, "I can't even deal" rough.
(disclaimer: Is "I can't even deal" a complete thought? I hear teenagers saying it all the time and they seem to know what each other means but I'm in the dark. I take it to mean "My life sucks.")
Anywho--back to me.
Part 1:
Monday my van wouldn't start. **We actually don't call it the van anymore. We call it " mom's office." It makes me feel official when I am doing stuff like getting gas and waiting in the worst traffic ever.** So my office wouldn't start. No prob, ask the neighbor for a jump. Except for the little fact that the hood on my car wouldn't open. What? Our auto shop came out and after some maneuvering they got it opened, started, and took it to the shop to find out the problem. The problem is a glitch of some sort and it's a big problem because the piece that they need to fix it up all nice and brand new is not being manufactured at this time.
Say what?!?!
Ya, that's what I said. They will be making 25 of the piece I need (in May) so I got on the list to get one and guess what? I'm #28. Again, they are only making 25. SO while we wait for a piece my radio doesn't work (no biggie), the dvd player doesn't work (so what?) and the windows won't roll down. I have never prayed for cooler weather but you better believe I am now.
To continue with the saga, last night after teaching a class I got in my office and turned it on and smoke started coming out of the steering column. So after a quick freak out I locked the van (my office betrayed me), called a friend for a ride, called the Automotive place to come get it, and then called Jason.
Geez Louise.
Part 2:
Not as bad as a smoking van but still a pain. Like literally. The back of my left ankle has been killing me this week. I've self diagnosed myself with Achilles Tendinitis and then left a professional tell me I'm right. It's so stiff and achy and down right annoying. I don't have the time or patience for it but Achilles Tendinitis don't care. Jerk. So I'm babying it, soaking it, stretching it, thinking nice thoughts to it and hoping it starts treating me nice.
I'm telling you, this healthy and fit thing makes me feel like an old woman some days.
Part 3:
This one is for real.
3 young women that I have had the chance to work with over the past few years are expecting. It bums me out a bit to know that their childhood is past and they are on to a hectic life of baby worries and every day struggles.
Part 4:
I could handle all my other problems if this one did not tip the scale and send me straight to crazy town.
I have ONE of every slipper. And its only the left foots so I can't even pretend I didn't know I was wearing mismatched slippers. It's like the world is against me you guys.
I just need a genie to bring me my ultimate wish...
and then everything would be right in the world.
