Summer Thus Far

We are having a BLAST here in Massachusetts. My pictures are having a hard time loading...grrrr. I will get that figured out soon.
Highlights thus far:
*We have played at multiple parks with grandma-duck feeding included.
*We dog sat for my aunt's adorable dog, Wesley. He is a West Highland Terrier and I fully expect to be sneaking one into our household soon (hi honey! Disregard that).
*We have also attended my home ward which I love. No matter how long I am gone everyone is the same.
*We have spent TWO FULL days at Six Flags tearing it up. Today was one of them. We rode every ride possible and went bananas in the water park. I am dead on my feet. The kids, on the other hand were mad that I made them leave after 7 hours of playing. Ohhhh to have their energy (and ability to withstand constantly spinning rides...barf).
*Cousin Brockden, Uncle Anders and Auntie Nikki have been over to play almost every night and the kids are getting along famously. I love that Brock just fits right in with my kids.
*We have even done some school shopping. It is wonderful to be able to try school clothes on the ladies instead of ordering on-line. I love school uniforms even more now that I am not going to have to play the "return and re-order" game.
*Tomorrow we are headed over to New York to visit my Oma, visit aunts and uncles and go to Hill Cumorah Pageant. I am very excited. This trip has been great so far and I know it is just going to get better.
Off to have more fun and figure out how to make my pictures work. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are!

Made It!

We are in Massachusetts. So far we have checked out Grandma and Grandpa's new house, played capture the flag with Uncle Anders, Auntie Nikki and Brockden, done fireworks, had root beer floats and "swam" in the hot tub. And that was just night #1. It's gonna be a pretty great month!

Jayden is 9...

...and she loves it!On Jayden's birthday I loaded the kids into the car and we headed to the movies. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was our destination. Jayden was excited but had mixed feelings about going because she and daddy always see the movie together and daddy wasn't home to go with us. I assured her it was going to be fun and she and daddy could see it again later.
While sitting waiting for the movie to start Jayden had a special visitor show up!
DADDY!!!!
He flew in that morning just for her.
She was sooo happy.
I was sooo happy.
Jason was so happy.
Everyone was wondering why we were so happy.
After the movie we had lunch..
and milk shakes...
a song sung by the waitress!
Today we had a birthday breakfast with a lot of Jayden's friends
We made fancy birthday waffles.
And covered them in sprinkles, chocolate chips and whipped creme. Yum!
Some peoples eyes were bigger than their stomach.

Then everyone painted sun catchers.
And did sparklers. They are just as fun during the day as they are at night...who knew?

Happy Birthday Jayden!!!!
Nine is going to be awesome!
