School Has Started

Today is the first day of school. Man, it came fast this year. I know I am not ready for summer to be over. The ladies were up early and excited to get going this morning. I am so happy they love school!
Braley started the 2nd grade this morning with Mrs. Mates.
I think she is going to love her.
Can you believe Jayden is in the 4th grade? I know, me either.
Mr. Delgado is her new teacher and I know they are going to get along great.
Little man doesn't start preschool until next week and was a bit sore that today wasn't about him. BUT next week it will be and he will get his first day of school pic's posted just like his sisters.
Happy Back to School-ing everyone!

Six Flags & Super Heros

While home we spent our summer hitting up Six Flags New England over and over and over again. The kids and I had a blast. Thanks to our piece of crap economy it was like we had the park pretty much to ourselves each time we went. Also, thanks to the rainiest summer weather in recent Massachusetts history we weren't suffering from heat stroke to have a great time.
No hoards of grumpy people.
No sweaty nasty kids.
No long lines.
Them: "How many?"
Me: "Four."
Them: "Perfect. Climb on. Have a Six Flags day."
Ya, it was pretty great.
Just like any other amusement park the characters were always out. Since we were 4 of the 100 people there each day the little ones got a lot of face to face time with everyone from Scooby-Doo to Buggs Bunny. Oh, btw, the first time we went we were lucky enough to have Nikki and Brock come along! Thanks again guys! We had fun.
Grandma calls Ansen her Scrappy Doo so I couldn't pass up this little snapshot.
One of the many water rides. Poor Brock. He lived and everyone had fun.
Things 1, 2, and 3 couldn't get enough of rides that a) got you wet, b) got you soaking wet and c) spun in circles. A and B I was totally okay with. C on the other hand ohoooooooo, no thank you.

These hot air balloons were the only spinning thing that didn't make me want to vomit. Sorry, too much information?

In honor of Discovery's shark week.
The Wiggles! Who doesn't love them? Well, actually, my kids BUT they sure loved the rides in Wiggle Land. Personally I did too. And now we all appreciate the Wiggles a little bit more.
It was the Summer of Super Hero's at Six Flags. At the Hall of Justice we were able to meet just about every important Super Hero on the planet. The kids literally spent HOURS with these guys. They were totally in character and due to small crowds had all the time in the world to entertain my kids while I took five.
Wonder Woman was tops for Jayden and Brays.
I mean, helllooo. This chick gets to wear tights, boots and a leotard to work everyday while she fights crime with a lasso and throws boys in jail.
Could it get any cooler?

Robin and Ansen are now best friends. This guy was awesome. He learned all the kids names the first time we met him and each time we would see him after (for the entire month) he would call them by name and remember something about them. He wasn't always Robin and so when he was a villain instead he would mention that Robin had mentioned his new friends from Oregon and that he would be keeping a close eye on them. They were so excited about that. Seriously, they were eating out of the palm of his hand.
I should really send a thank-you to him for doing so well with the kids.
Possibly a black mail picture someday?
A pink teacup? This child thought she died and went to heaven. I would have to agree. Plus she's just so cute.

More hero's:

Robin(wink*wink*) as the Riddler. Fact. I had a terrible headache. Fact. I sat on the ground while the Riddler told the kids riddles for about an hour. Fact. Not once did he even look at me like Lady get your kids out of here. Fact. The Riddler is now an acceptable villain because he's actually pretty dang nice.

If Jason ever leaves me I know where to find him.
The last time we went Jason, Kirstin, Travis, Brie and Russell came along. This was the day I had been waiting for. This was the day I could actually go on some big girl rides. Don't get me wrong, Capt. Feathersword's rocken' Pirate Ship is pretty cool BUT Batman and Bazzaro may just win. And Jayden took the plunge and went on some adult roller coasters herself and LOVED them. She's such a daredevil!
The man, the myth, the legend...but not as cool as Robin.
The kids being inducted into the League of Justice.
They are now Super Hero's!
Cheetah

Six Flags also had an awesome water park. Sorry, no pictures. I was too busy frolicking in the water. But take my word for it. The water park was so worth it. The water slides were great and the faster the better for my three. But Oh! Don't put Ansen in the lazy river! He was terrified of it. ????? What a strange kid.
So this summer I feel as though I mastered the art of Amusement Park attendance. I learned the in's and out's and dare I say I loved it?
Dear Six Flags,
Please build a park in Oregon.
Preferably somewhere between Portland and Salem.
I will be awaiting your prompt response.
Thank you.
