Today was the day. Jayden went in and had whatever was on her eye removed. I won't tell you what they did or how grossed out I was. I will just say one word: Nasty. But, thankfully, Jayden did not feel a thing and it was over before we knew it. In order to keep the kids busy while playing the waiting game in the exam room (not my favorite thing to do) we took lots of pictures.
Jayden's nervous energy was almost more than I could handle. Who can blame her? I don't want anyone poking around at my eyeball either. She was literally bouncing off the walls because of her nerves. It didn't help that Braley and Ansen kept commenting, "Jayden I hope the don't cut your whole eye out!"
Yep, right there in that little eye of hers was our problem.
Braley decided to take a crack at getting that little bugger out.
No luck.
Jayden inspected Braley. Why not? After all, she is the blind one.
Poor Ansen wasn't sure what was going on but he was a good sport about it.
So the foreign substance has been removed and Jayden still has two eyes. The doctor was a pro and she was a champ. I informed her on the way home that she has used up her 1 random doctor visit for the year and she is not not allowed to be injured or sick in any way until January 1, 2010. Anyone want to place a bet at how long it will actually be and who will be my next random medical mishap?
