A sailor, a turtle, a skeleton

OH MY!
Every year their costumes are so different from each other.
Each year their costumes totally fit their personalities.Mr. Ansen was Leonardo the Ninja Turtle this year.
He was full of karate chops, skate boarding moves and "duuuuuude!"
This little boy is totally awesome.
He was, in my humble option, the coolest Leonardo out there.
Who can resist that smile?
Braley really has no idea who Shirley Temple is but she saw this outfit and claimed it as hers.
"I wanna be a sailor!" Done.
This little ditty was so stinking cute on her.
She had so many compliments on her costume.
Girl is a sassy sailor.
A skeleton is what Jayden wanted to be.
She decided to put her on twist on being a bag of bones and she decided to be a "girl skeleton."
First, daddy did her make-up.Then sprayed her hair black and white and then she added the tutu's!
She looked great.
Don't they look great?
Jayden and her friend Brakelle at our ward's trunk-or-treat.
Braley and Brayden.
Ansen and Hailey.
Boo!

Haunted Carosel

Maybe not very haunted but very, very entertaining.

Who says carousel's are just for little kids?

So Scary

Last Saturday we had our annual fright night. I wish I took more pictures but I was busy having too much fun. We had 30-ish people with us and it was so fun. We went to scream at the beach and while it wasn't the scariest it was a riot!
Here is part of our group. Erin and I were the biggest chickens and that is fine by me.
Thanks for coming everyone! We had a great time!

Carving!

Reach on in there and grab all the guts! And they did.
It's funny. This year nobody made a traditional pumpkin face.
Braley made a mummy face.
Jayden's pumpkin is sporting a moon, a haunted house and a scary tree.
My pumpkin is totally scary cause I am not wearing any make up...oh and because it's a spider.
Daddy and Ansen worked hard on making Ansen's pumpkin look perfect.
His skeleton face came out awesome.
And ta-da! Here is Jason's lil monster.
He came out great.
We love craving pumpkins and we love eating the seeds too.
Happy carving!

Primary Program

Today was the Primary Program. It was wonderful. My kids sang and said their parts very clearly. I may have bribed them but I am not ashamed. Whatever it takes to get a good performance out of them.

Jayden talked about service and how she can help each person in her family. She then talked about how we can serve as a family. She made me proud.

Braley was asked to give a 3-5 minute talk on one of the miracles of Jesus. She chose to speak about Jesus walking on water. She told the story and added her testimony. She make me thankful.

Ansen told everyone ways that he knew Jesus and Heavenly Father love him. His reasons were simple and true. He made me smile.

Each one has such a sweet countenance. I love these 3 and I am so proud of how well they did today!

Ramses is 1!!

As I have said before we love birthday's at our house. And we had a birthday to celebrate today. Our little buddy Ramses is 1!So of course we had to have a special birthday breakfast.
Yes, donuts...and dog food.
Absurd? Yes.
Do we care? No.
Here is the birthday boy being sang to.
Checking out his cake.
He had a little help blowing out his candle!

We just had regular donut sans dog food.

And then it was gift time!
What a lucky little dog Rammy is.
Happy birthday Ramses.

Sick little man

I am not sure what it is.
No fever.
No shivers.
No coughing.
Just 6 hours of power puking and now resting.
Apparently Ramses doesn't know how to respect someones personal space while they are ill.
Silly dog.
My poor little guy. It's no fun being sick. Thankfully he is an easy one and just wants to sleep and snuggle.
I can do that.

Pumpkin Patch

The weather was beautiful last weekend and we took advantage of it. The pumpkin patch was calling our name. It said. "Wiiiiiddddding's come now!"
And so we did. We have been going to the same pumpkin patch for about 6 years. We always ride the train out to the hay pyramid, pick our pumpkins, climb the hay pyramid and ride the train back. It's so fun.
Chugga-chugga-choo-choo!

Not only can you climb up the outside of the pyramid but you can find your way through the maze they have created inside. It's awesome.

Our "punkins"

This year the boys decided to wheel barrel the pumpkins back to the barn
while the girls and I picked flowers and...
rode the train back.

As always, there has to be food involved so we ended the day with kettle korn.
The kids are stoked to carve pumpkins this weekend.
Has everyone made their trips to get their pumpkins yet?
